When Ecologicasec first reached out to us on Instagram, we couldn’t imagine how meaningful our connection would become. Just weeks later, Paula Delgado, Karen Delgado, and Micaela Rodríguez — the inspiring women behind this eco-conscious, women-led company — arrived at our clinic in Guatemala, bringing more than donations: they brought empathy, energy, and commitment.
“As a women-founded company, we felt deeply connected to your mission,” shared Paula, CEO of Ecologicasec. “And wanted to support this cause — because only women truly understand what it means to experience a menstrual cycle every month and how important it is to speak openly about it.”
Their visit exceeded expectations. “Working alongside doctors and speaking with patients,” Paula told us, “we realized just how little information there is about the menstrual cycle. Many women believe it’s just monthly bleeding, unaware of the physical, emotional, and mental changes it brings. We also saw how poor nutrition leads to hormonal imbalances and pain — things that have been normalized, but shouldn’t be. And the lack of access to menstrual hygiene products leads to constant irritation and serious vaginal health issues.”
Ecologicasec donated chemical-free, plastic-free menstrual products to our clinic, giving our patients access to safe, sustainable options they no longer need to worry about affording. “By donating our products,” Paula continued, “we help these women avoid unnecessary health risks while also reducing environmental harm.”
We’re deeply grateful for this collaboration and inspired by Ecologicasec’s dedication to women’s health and environmental responsibility. Their visit reminded us that when companies act with purpose and care, they can make a real difference in people’s lives.
Thank you, Ecologicasec, for your trust, generosity, and solidarity. We look forward to continuing this meaningful work together.
